I love to use my passion for creativity to give my children an opportunity to explore arts, crafts and messy/ sensory play. But these fun filled activities meant that my house has sparkled with the tons of spilt glitter and I have found shaving foam and custard in places that I didn’t even know existed! After speaking to a few parents I realised that they would relish an opportunity to take part in messy play activities with their little ones without having to set everything up and clean up after they had finished! Parents said that they just wanted to enjoy these activities with their little one, without the stress and hassle of the mess.
On becoming a mum to two boys I decided that I wanted to do something that would fit in with my family life and starting my own business seemed like the perfect option. I knew that I wanted to create a programme for babies and toddlers that allowed me to use my enthusiasm for art, craft and messy play. I wanted to offer lively classes which combined high quality art and crafts experiences, sensory and messy play, music, singing, movement, bubbles, parachutes, balloons and lots more.
So, using my own teaching experience and my experience as a mum I decided to write the Arty Splats educational programme. This also provided me with the perfect opportunity to combine my role as a mum with running an exciting business that inspired lots of babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers and also inspired me on a daily basis! And so Arty Splats was born.
